Pet’s mother is German and comes under suspicion as World War II approaches. That was tricky-making sure everything tied in and that the plot events fit in with the timeline in that first year of the second World War. But it’s a double-edged sword, because sometimes a plot develops a momentum of its own and it can be quite hard keeping that synchronized with the historical events.
